SEA STATION CHAIR APPOINTMENT
:
Brothers and Sisters:
With the need for a TWU Local 591 Station Chair at SEA, and in accordance with Local 591’s bylaws; specifically Article X Section 6, the Executive Board has the ability to appoint a Station Chair due to the fact less than one-half the term remains. The Local 591 bylaw reads:
In the event of a vacancy in any position herein, that has eighteen (18) months or more remaining in the term, at the time the vacancy occurs, said vacancy is to be considered permanent and shall be filled through election process defined above. In the event of a vacancy in any position herein, that has less than 18 months remaining in the term, the Executive Board will appoint a person to fill said vacancy.
Effective immediately, Brother John Vertido is appointed to the position of TWU Local 591 SEA Station Chair for the remainder of the election cycle.
