Subject: ACTION REQUIRED: TWU Local 591 Voluntary Benefits Open Enrollment Deadline
Dear TWU Local 591 Member,
Our records indicate that you are currently enrolled in at least one Lincoln voluntary benefit program, and you have not yet arranged to move those benefits to the new insurance programs.
Those previous Lincoln voluntary benefits will terminate on December 31, 2025.
In order for you to maintain your voluntary coverage through the Local moving forward, you must actively enroll in the new voluntary benefit offerings from The Standard.
This is an important reminder that Open Enrollment for the new TWU Local 591/567 voluntary benefits will close on Friday, December 5th, 2025 at 7:00 PM EST.
What’s Changing:
Unless you take action and meet with a benefit counselor before December 5th, 2025 at 7:00 PM EST, as of December 31, 2025, the existing Lincoln voluntary benefit programs will terminate, including:
- Short-Term Disability (STD)
- Long-Term Disability (LTD)
- Supplemental Voluntary Life Insurance
If you are currently enrolled in any of those Lincoln plans, and want to protect your voluntary benefits, you must:
- Stop your existing JetNet direct deposit deductions for these Lincoln plans, and
- Meet with a benefit counselor (either in person or on the telephone) to enroll in the new plans being offered through The Standard.

Important: Coverage Will NOT Automatically Roll Over
Your current coverage with Lincoln will not automatically transfer to The Standard’s plans.
If you do not enroll in the new benefits:
- You may lose your current income protection (STD/LTD), and
- You may lose your life insurance coverage for yourself and your eligible dependents.
What You Need To Do
Before Friday, December 5th at 7:00 PM EST:
- Schedule and complete a meeting with a benefit counselor.
- During this meeting, you can review options, ask questions, and enroll in the new voluntary benefits.
- Update your JetNet deductions by stopping any direct deposit deductions associated with the Lincoln plans.
- Confirm your elections so there is no gap in your coverage going into the new plan year.

These benefits are an important part of protecting your income, your family, and your peace of mind. Please take a few minutes to complete your enrollment before the deadline.
If you have any questions or need help scheduling a meeting with a benefit counselor, please contact our plan administrator, Employee Family Protection (EFP) at (844) 606-0524.
